Are you a seasoned Product Manager with a passion for innovation? We're seeking a driven and experienced professional to drive our New Distribution Capability (NDC) initiative. This role combines technical prowess with business insight, ideal for someone with a background in software development, a deep understanding of the airline industry, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
What you'll be doing: Stakeholder Strategy: Build and maintain a strong internal and external stakeholder relationship strategy to position Virgin Australia as a key business partner for the NDC distribution channelManage Product Backlog: Prioritize the product backlog through value/effort assessments, financial modelling, and customer experience improvementsRoadmap Development: Create and maintain a 3–12-month forward roadmap to support cross-business capacity planning and prioritizationFeature Management: Oversee new product features and capabilities to align with Virgin Australia's NDC value proposition and attract new trade partners and travel agenciesEnd-to-End Product Management: Handle the complete NDC product lifecycle for trade partners, maximizing adoption across the NDC distribution channelUser Stories and Requirements: Supervise the development of user stories, refine requirements, and set release and sprint goals according to product objectivesStakeholder Engagement: Lead discussions and decisions with stakeholders to define high-level requirements for the NDC solutionVendor Management: Manage the vendor relationship concerning the NDC product.Feature Delivery: Take full accountability for delivering new features throughout the product lifecycleYou'll be great in this role if you: A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related fieldProven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner within the airline industry, specifically in distribution and ticketingA solid background in software development, including hands-on experience with Postman and XMLExpertise in executing technology-driven projectsExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Demonstrated leadership and team management abilitiesAn analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skillsExpertise in using analytics to drive data-driven insights for enhancing NDC channel capabilities and trade partner adoptionA collaborative team player who is empathetic, resourceful, and results-orientedA deep understanding of airline markets and indirect distribution channelsFamiliarity with airline distribution systemsProficiency in Confluence, Jira, Teams, and SharePoint collaboration toolsKnowledge of Sabre PSSWhat you'll get from us: We're committed to looking after you, with some of the best benefits and conditions in the industry – including (but not limited to):
