About the role: As the Data Platform Product Manager, you will be at the heart of delivering data solutions that impact millions of commuters every day. You'll lead our data platform strategy within the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) domain, working with cross-functional teams to leverage data and AI/ML to power predictive analytics and real-time solutions that enhance utilisation of transport infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to shape how data can be used to solve some of society's most pressing transportation challenges. Your day to day will include: Define a roadmap for our data platform, delivering impactful ITS solutions aligned with our purpose-driven mission to enable future mobility and use product analytics to optimise performance, diagnose problems, and correlate customer activity with long term value. Proactively manage multiple dependencies effectively to deliver product outcomes within appropriate timelines. Ensure the platform meets data privacy and security standards, supporting ethical and compliant data practices and lead AI/ML initiatives by working cross-functionally to enhance the predictive and real-time analytical capabilities of the STREAMS ITS platform. Ensure the platform is optimised for large data volumes and real-time analytics, supporting complex ITS scenarios and deliver tools that democratise data and AI-driven insights, enabling diverse stakeholders to make informed decisions. Work closely with customer success, engineering and data science professionals to drive product discovery and prioritise and deliver outcomes that enhance the safety, reliability, and sustainability of transport networks. Manage the end-to-end commercial relationship with third party software vendors and consulting firms and manage cost to serve. Use your deep understanding of traffic management operations to identify appropriate opportunities for innovation within the Transmax product suite that are feasible, viable and desirable. Foster an environment of personal ownership and positive team dynamics within the Data Platform team so subject matter experts are empowered to own the solutions they develop in concert with stakeholders across the business in alignment with the company strategy. About You: We are looking for a highly skilled Product Manager, experienced within a fast-paced technical product environment and passionate about all things Data! You will hold a tertiary qualification in business, marketing or technology (or substantial equivalent industry experience) and have 3-5+ years in product management with a platform focus and proven history of revenue generation. Your toolkit for success: Demonstrated experience with modern product discovery and delivery techniques. Demonstrated ability to devise solutions to hard problems in highly ambiguous contexts using sound judgement to assess risks along with the ability to present your argument using well-structured approaches. Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers and company leaders to develop constructive and collaborative relationships. Demonstrated experience working in blended commercial, operational and technical contexts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven experience managing competing pieces of work, aligning cross-functional teams and translating complex concepts for different stakeholder groups including executives, public servants, academics and the private sector. Ability to interpret data insights and drive decisions in high-impact scenarios. Strong understanding of data infrastructure/pipelines, cloud data platforms, and real-time data processing. Experience with AI/ML concepts and tools. Ability to comprehend the commercial and strategic implications of complex architectures. Ideally you will have: Familiarity with data privacy regulations and an ability to interpret legislation in a continuously evolving regulatory environment (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, APA). Experience with data tools or platforms (e.g., Databricks, Elasticsearch). Experience with AI/ML tooling and technologies (e.g. NVIDIA Metropolis Microservices, NVIDIA Deepstream, Tensor Flow, Py Torch). What does Transmax offer?
