How will I help?
The Senior Product Manager's (SPM) role purpose is to act as the Insurance Product Champion within the Platform Product Management team ensuring that the Insurance products offerings continue to meet market needs, are competitive with alternative/competitor's products and to drive product management activities in the Platform business.
This role will report to the National Manager Insurance, Platforms Product Management and will be supported by two Product Managers (reporting to the National Manager). The Senior Product Manager will be the main contact point for various parts of the business to build a profile and knowledge base on platform insurance products.
Key responsibilities:
Relationship, governance, and contract management with insurers.
Insurance projects.
Regular Board reporting – annual board reports, ad-hoc proposals and updates.
Implementation of robust controls, risk governance and incident management.
Customer experience improvements.
Resolve queries, complaints and escalations.
Support approval process e.g. disclosure, product implementation.
Compliance with legislative change.
Continuous improvement.
Support platforms strategy development.

What do I need?
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of five years' experience in a product management role within financial services or in a superannuation, insurance or platform business.
You will have demonstrated experience working with complex projects and a strong understanding of insurance product design and pricing. You will have the ability to analyse insurance and member data and perform market benchmarking.
Ideally, you will also have the following:
Expert knowledge of regulations/legislation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Analysis and problem-solving skills.
Strong stakeholder management.
Ability to write papers and present to Board level stakeholders.
Coaching and development skills.
