They lead strategic design initiatives, establish and enhance processes, and mentor our team of designers and researchers. Using a Human Centred Design approach, they lead and facilitate user research, workshops, prototyping and testing to identify user challenges and design effective solutions. These solutions will take the form of wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity user interface designs, created using our growing design system. Working with business stakeholders, and the Product and Engineering teams, they assess business and technical considerations to deliver solutions that meet user needs, achieve business goals, and adhere to delivery schedules.Responsibilities:Lead the application of Human-Centred Design and design thinking methods to create innovative, user-focused solutions resulting in excellent user experiences.Use qualitative and quantitative research methods including surveys, interviews and usability tests to understand our users. Perform competitive analysis, and trend monitoring to be aware of similar current offerings.Generate insights from research data to guide the creation of design solutions. Lead the translation of complex concepts and processes into requirements, journey maps, service blueprints, user flows, and wireframes.Lead ideation sessions to formulate solutions and determine which to refine and test using the lenses of desirability, usability, viability, and feasibility. Create interactive prototypes to test and refine designs.Lead the creation of refined final user interfaces that include meaningful interactions, well-conceived information architecture and articulate copywriting. Critique and guide the work of more junior designs.Grow and develop our design system and facilitate its adoption by the feature teams. Establish and ensure adherence to design processes and standards to maintain consistency and quality.Lead design thinking workshops to foster collaborative ideation and problem-solving. Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, communicating ideas and demoing solutions frequently to ensure all parties remain aligned from concept to release.Critique and guide the work of more junior designs. Mentor and coach more junior designers and researchers providing critiques and guidance.Contribute to formulating the strategic direction and long-term vision for Product Design. Ensure design initiatives align with business goals and user needs.Requirements5+ years of experience in a Product/UX/UI Design role, preferably with experience designing B2B solutions.Demonstrated application and understanding of human-centered design (HCD) principles and methodologies.Proficient in using qualitative and quantitative research methods to create insights and inform design decisions.Strong creative and design skills as well as an expert level understanding of UI patterns and principlesExpertise in using Figma and FigjamExcellent communication skills and experience working with Product, Design and Development teams in an Agile environment.Experience in growing and developing a Design SystemProven experience leading design projects, mentoring junior designers, and providing constructive feedback
