In this exciting role, you will create original and agenda-setting content to attract, retain and build audience across all platforms. This is your opportunity to: Identify reach and engagement opportunities for ABC Radio Melbourne across multiple platforms to reach under-served audiences. Elevate the profile of ABC Radio Melbourne through initiatives that enable presenters and content teams to increase their presence and prominence in the community and to gather more field content to build on the content offering for audiences. In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, identify, plan and deliver local community activities and national projects to connect with diverse communities and targeted audiences. Provide editorial leadership, training, development and mentoring for content makers and create opportunities for them to lead content initiatives. About You You will have the necessary highly advanced program making skills, and an ability to make original and engaging audio and content for target audiences in a contemporary manner. You thrive in a deadline driven environment where you juggle multiple priorities and tasks; and can act quickly while still providing a high attention to detail. You're a natural at building relationships with people from a range of diverse backgrounds and managing talkback callers and guests. You will also have: Highly advanced editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise reliable judgement. Demonstrated experience in guiding and developing content makers to create distinctive and compelling, multi-platform content and to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Demonstrated understanding and passion to source and create authentic content which represents the broad diversity of the Australian community, including stories that reflect a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds and Indigenous communities where editorially relevant.
