Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Senior Procurement Specialist drives value outcomes within high level, complex procurement initiatives, whilst developing and implementing strategic vendor management frameworks within the Procurement and Supply Unit of Metro South Hospital and Health Service.

About the Role Provide expert procurement services, including sourcing, evaluation, contract negotiation, and management, ensuring the highest standards of execution.
Lead the management of high-risk, high-value procurements, delivering outstanding customer service and stakeholder engagement.
Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, ensuring all efforts yield measurable benefits for Metro South Health (MSH).
Develop and implement vendor management strategies aligned with MSH Procurement's operational objectives and contract management framework.
Actively engage with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure continuous vendor performance improvements through review and benchmarking.
Employ advanced negotiation techniques to mitigate risks, optimise outcomes, and enhance MSH's reputation, capability, and value proposition.
