Our Client is a highly visible and critical renewable energy producer with a large pipeline of infrastructure procurement projects to be managed over the next 5 years.

ROLE
The Senior Procurement Specialist role has been created to manage the delivery of Pre-award packages of work, specifically across high value Construction, Tunnelling and/or Electrical contracts.
The role will report into the Procurement Project Manager with a focus on obtaining the best value for money through the effective support & management of procurement programs and specifically provides oversight and governance of the Principal Contractors procurement activities and support direct tendering activities.
Responsibilities: Manage and hold the principal contractor accountable to all agreed Procurement plans, Work in progress reporting, Risk management and Compliance with contractual obligationsOngoing delivery and management of a comprehensive Procurement Management Plan for key packagesDevelop and ongoing delivery of key contracts that may arise from time to timeThe development and execution of contracts, including negotiation planning, management of clarification registers, contract drafting and engagement with suppliersManagement of the contract approval process per Snowy Hydro procurement standards and governance requirementsSKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The right person for this role is someone who has experience working in medium to large Construction or Infrastructure projects, with a high level of understanding specifically around managing high value contracts and holding contractors accountable for their deliverables.
Someone with a commercial management or contract administration background would be a good potential fit.
Specific Requirements: 5+ years' experience in procurement, contract management, commercial, engineering, legal or project managementCommercial and procurement management techniquesExperience in capital procurement, more specifically within the Infrastructure, Construction and Renewables sectors preferredExperience developing and managing large and complex civil and/or electrical contractsStrong commercial acumen and analytical skillsStrong knowledge and experience managing contract clarification registers and drafting of contractsStrong stakeholder management and interpersonal skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsGET IN TOUCH
