Senior Procurement Specialist (Aps6)

Our client, a principal government agency in charge of managing the Murray-Darling Basin, is seeking the experience of a Senior Procurement Specialist (APS6) for a long 12+24 month contract based in Wodonga, Canberra, Griffith, Goondiwindi or Mildura.
Duties of the Senior Procurement Specialist (APS6)
Manage strategic end to end procurement activities, review and provide advice on procurement documentation, the evaluation of responses, and the negotiation and management of contracts. Prepare procurement documentation such as Statement of Requirement, Request for Quote and Evaluation Reports. Assist the establishment of, and support for, evaluation panels. Provide expert advice on procurement processes to the BPR staff to ensure the implementation of, and adherence to the Commonwealth Procurement Rules. Collaborate with technical Subject Matter Experts, Legal Advisors, as well as external Procurement and Probity Advisors. Provide basic support for financial activities such as setting budgets and mid-year reviews. Skills and Experience Required
Ability to deliver results in a context requiring attention to detail and ability to work consistently within established templates. Proven ability working in teams and to tight timelines. Ability to respond to changing priorities and work flexibly. Practical experience in delivering end to end procurement within a Commonwealth Government Setting (desired). A Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Government Procurement and Contracting (desired). How to Apply
