We have two (2) AO6, Senior Procurement Officer roles to support the Chief Finance Officer and Executive Leadership Team.As part of this diverse team, you'll provide expert procurement advice, promote best practices, and ensure ethical decision-making aligned with Queensland Government policies. You'll support housing assistance and homelessness services through direct delivery and partnerships with service providers.Responsibilities of the Role:Apply procurement expertise to deliver value for Government and business.Implement better procurement practices in strategy, governance, and operations.Facilitate changes to traditional practices and develop guidance materials.Evaluate methodologies to ensure value for money and cost reductions.Understand housing and social services sector requirements to source solutions.Use evidence-based tools to shape procurement strategies.Plan and deliver market engagement and tendering processes.Requirements for the Role:Generate and share creative ideas for improvement.Work flexibly, make decisions, and demonstrate good judgment.Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.Act ethically and in accordance with the QPS legislative framework.Demonstrate strong procurement skills and specialist knowledge.Whilst not mandatory, the following skills, qualifications and experience are highly desirable:Formal procurement, purchasing and/or contract management accreditation will be well regarded (i.e., Diploma in Procurement and Contract Management, Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office (QGCPO) training and certification program, CIPS or similar).
