As a Senior Procurement Officer within the Covert & Specialist Operations Group (CSOG), you will administer policies, systems, and procedures designed to achieve best practice in procurement and contribute to CSOG's financial reporting requirements.
This will include providing high-quality advice and guidance to members of CSOG relating to systems, asset and vehicle procurement, coordination, and ongoing support of discrete financial arrangements and associated activities.
You will work as part of a small dynamic team reporting directly to the Detective Superintendent CSOG.
The Core Capability Requirements for this role are: Manage strategic procurement projects in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity, and transparency requirements are addressed.Actively participate in an effective and professional procurement team.Provide high-level procurement and commercial advice relating to procurement matters.Administer strategic contracts in collaboration with Contract Managers in accordance with the principles of the Queensland Government Contract Management Framework.Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with internal clients, vendors, and staff to ensure procurement services are responsive to current and future needs.Provide specialist procurement and commercial advice relating to procurement matters to internal and external stakeholders.Contribute to operational reporting requirements.Monitor and undertake financial and procurement systems compliance.Maintain the integrity of financial and accounting data in SAP and site manager billing system and initiate journals to adjust identified accounting errors and/or transfer expenses between accounts.Role Requirements: Qualifications - Highly Desirable: Queensland Government Level 3 Procurement Certification or equivalentTechnical/Operational/Educational Experience Experience in SAPKnowledge of the State Procurement PolicyKnowledge of the Queensland Information Technology Contracting FrameworkOther Successful applicant/s must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to the minimal level of Negative Vetting Level 1 (see Other Information).Successful applicant/s will be required to sign a secrecy agreement.The successful applicant/s will be required to undergo a psychometric assessment prior to appointment. If successful, there may be a requirement to undergo regular psychometric assessments.Applicants are advised that whilst performing the duties of the position they may be exposed to material (written, visual, and audio) of a covert and sensitive nature.The successful applicant/s will be required to perform duty within any group/unit and location within the Greater Brisbane area where CSOG conducts business.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
