The Justice and Community Safety Directorate has a number of exciting permanent and temporary procurement opportunities available across the Directorate including in the ACT Emergency Services Agency, ACT Courts and Tribunal and ACT Corrective Services.
If you have procurement and contract management skills and experience and are confident in providing advice on, and ensuring compliance with the procurement lifecycle, in accordance with relevant legislation, these opportunities may be for you.
The Senior Procurement Officer will provide guidance and assistance to business units to ensure the timely and cost-efficient procurement and supply of consumables, goods, vehicles, and equipment while ensuring compliance under the
Government Procurement Act 2001
(ACT),
Government Procurement Regulations 2007
(ACT) and relevant policies and procedures.
The Senior Procurement Officer will develop and maintain robust partnerships with internal, external and industry stakeholders. Additionally, responsibilities may include assisting with contract administration, sourcing and purchasing activities.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Certificate IV Procurement and Contract Management is highly desirable.A 'C' Class Driver's Licence is essential.Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) - Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.Background / Security clearance checks will be conducted.This position does not require a pre-employment medical.Notes:
The ACT Emergency Services Agency has one temporary position available for up to 12 months, with the possibility of extension. A merit list will be established to fill these and future vacancies that may arise over the next twelve months including (but not limited to) the above-mentioned Business Units.
