The Senior Procurement Manager will be tasked to develop and implement enterprise-wide category sourcing strategies of key ingredients to support the business needs while ensuring cost efficiencies, continuous improvement, and optimization of resources.
The Senior Procurement Manager will drive local, regional and international sourcing strategies to deliver long-term competitive advantages to the business.
This position is expected to partner and work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, R&D, Finance, and Sales amongst others.
This role will report to the Vice President of Procurement.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement category sourcing strategy that ensures consistent supply and timely deliveryLead strategist to leverage scale across the organization with a continuous improvement mindset and cost efficiency focusAchieve competitive price advantage through knowledge of markets including the relevant domestic and international macro-economic factorsIdentify and evaluate sourcing opportunities while mitigating supply riskSRM for local and global strategic suppliersOptimize the supply base to allow for continuity, growth and innovationNegotiate long term supply agreements and their implementationManage all contracts and master agreements, ensure adherence to contractual shipment and/or delivery schedulesCoordinate all logistics aspects with suppliers including but not limited to inland and/or ocean freight, import/exports when applicableWork with R&D and QA to seek and approve new suppliers and new materialsEnsure ingredients sourced meet quality specificationsDevelop and manage supplier evaluation and scorecardPartner with internal stakeholders and work cross-functionally to support the business needsQUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 8-10 years experience working in procurement/sourcing field and/or related functionPreferred experience with agriculture sourcingBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplineFinancial and Business acumen including but not limited to managing PPV, P&L, continuous improvement, cashflow management, spend analysis, and supply/demand forecastingManagement of respective supply chainsExtensive knowledge of managing Import/Export and Trade ComplianceProven leadership and team-building skills with the ability to influence and coach as neededAbility to identify, develop and evaluate a strong and reliable supplier networkAbility to demonstrate proven results with contract negotiations and strategic Sourcing StrategiesStrong project management skills in support of cross-functional team activitiesStrong communication and presentation skills to both internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to make sound decisions in complex and fast-moving environmentGood interpersonal and conflict management skillsProficient in Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, and/or other ERP/MRP systemsExcellent PC skills: MS Office including proficiency with ExcelMust be able to travel up to 10%+ of the time or as required by the businessPREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related discipline10+ years of experience working in food manufacturing10+ years of experience working in or with the food service industryBENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Insurance effective on the first of the month following start dateHealth and Wellness Incentives10 Days of Vacation9 Paid Company Holidays5 Personal Days401(k)Health Savings Account (H.S.A.
