The Western Australia Police Force seeks a highly motivated individual to lead a multi-disciplinary team as the Senior Procurement Manager within the Strategic Procurement and Contracts Division.
As an inclusive and strategic-thinking leader, you will actively contribute to supporting frontline police officers to keep our community safe.
This position is offered as a twelve (12) month contract/secondment opportunity with the possibility of extension. THE ROLE This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and governance of complex contracts, focusing on procurement planning, contract formation, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Key tasks include managing ICT procurement processes, ensuring their compliance with standards, advising on contract-related issues, developing policies, and contributing to performance indicators.
In addition, the role involves leading a team to deliver high-quality services, developing divisional strategies, and fostering effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders. Collaboration with the management team is crucial for driving cohesive strategies and achieving organisational goals.
The role also addresses information security, ethical standards and other assigned duties, ensuring the agency's professional standards are met in all contract and procurement activities.
Applicants with experience in ICT procurement, whilst not essential, would be highly regarded.
