To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate experience in procurement and contract management, probity, governance, monitoring and reporting activities with professionalism and a high level of integrity.
Demonstrate strong organisational skills and understand and support departmental strategic frameworks and apply to new or existing initiatives.
Demonstrate effective negotiation, influencing and professional written and oral communication skills to confidently articulate messages and achieve organisational outcomes.
As the Senior Procurement and Contract Manager, you will work with and support the Category Manager in delivering the procurement outcomes for the ICT Category.
Conduct procurement, sourcing and contract management activities for major contracts and standing offer arrangements.
Establish and manage the ongoing development of productive working relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and team members.
Maintain the currency of information in the ICT category plans and provide professional, quality procurement advice, guidance and mentoring to ICT Category Management & Sourcing stakeholders.
Undertake research and market analysis to help review requirements and develop procurement category plans and strategies for whole-of-government ICT supply arrangements.
Prepare, review and maintain high quality procurement and category management documentation.
Perform and ensure appropriate category management and reporting is delivered and effectively manage communication and relationships with internal and external suppliers and customers.
Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the ICT market relative to the category management function and conduct performance reviews with selected suppliers as appropriate based on value/risk of those suppliers.
Contribute to the development of functional procedures that promote consistency and best practice within ICT Category Management & Sourcing by monitoring and reviewing work practices and making recommendations leading to continuous improvements.
