The Commercial and Procurement team is seeking a highly capable individual to provide procurement services to Events ACT.
We are seeking a Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer with high levels of motivation and enthusiasm who has experience in procurement activities or is able to demonstrate how their previous experience translates to the role.

The Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer will support the delivery of a range of time-critical procurement activities, contract management, and reporting, and some financial administration.
Some activities include:
Prepare procurement documentation and contracts required to successfully deliver procurements compliant with ACT government legislation, policies and procedures, to ensure a value for money outcome is achieved within required timeframes.Provide procurement advice to the Events ACT team participating in procurement activities.Ensure compliance with legislative requirements including ACT Government and Directorate policy frameworks relating to procurement.Produce and maintain high quality documentation across the procurement lifecycle.
Reporting information as required, such as briefing material, communication artefacts, status updates, etc.Provide other administrative assistance as required, including contributing to the preparation of government briefs, correspondence, financial reporting, budget preparation, and invoice processing.We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for six months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
Please note, this position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW).
Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office-based, and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
