The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Advisor who can guide the improvement of our procurement and subcontract management for UGL's Utilities Operations & Maintenance division.
By providing expert advice and support in procurement and subcontracting across the division, you'll help uplift our processes.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your duties will encompass strengthening our supply chain, providing pre-contractual support, and promoting efficient and effective procurement and subcontract management practices across UGLs Utilities Operations & Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities Support the development and maintenance of a coordinated approach towards procurement and subcontract management for the business line, seeking value for money, and managing relationships and performance of suppliers.
Offer advice on all areas of purchasing and subcontract activity.
Provide effective governance, advice and guidelines to colleagues regarding CIMIC procurement policy requirements and UGL Ways requisitions to pay.
Build supply chain and provide pre-contract and tender support.
Drafting and negotiating subcontracts to eliminate risks.
Taking a proactive approach to risk management, ensuring risks and issues are identified, addressed, and reported and, where appropriate, escalated.
What You'll Need Relevant degree or qualifications in business, engineering, finance, supply chain or project management.
Sound experience within complex Procurement environments.
A solid understanding of Strategic Supply Planning, Category Management, Strategic Sourcing (Direct and Indirect) and Contract Management.
Experience in data analysis and financial costings model development.
Able to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues.
A strong background in staff management and motivating teams.
