About the Role
As the Senior Procurement Advisor, you'll be part team that is currently undertaking the upgrade of several dams throughout Southeast Queensland. You'll be working with managers, project teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to plan and deliver procurement activities related to this significant program of water infrastructure projects.

Supporting various project teams, you will have an expert understanding of procurement lifecycle management, contemporary sourcing practices and relevant to Qld legislation.

You'll provide expert advice and support in the selection of relevant delivery model/s, contract selection, and procurement process across a range of projects and activities.

Reporting to the Procurement Lead, your key responsibilities will be:
Develop, implement, and maintain the procurement strategy for major infrastructure projects that will deliver positive outcomes.Lead the planning, development, implementation and management of commercially sound sourcing and engagement strategies to provide the best value delivery of initiatives.Lead the preparation of procurement documentation such as procurement plans, evaluation plans, evaluation reports, market sounding reports, recommendations to award, negotiation plans and contractual correspondence for complex high-value and or high-risk procurement activities.Coordinate tendering activities and management of probity for high-risk and high-value infrastructure projects.Provide advice on procurement and contract negotiation in project meetings, business case documents, briefing notes, and reports.Provide expert knowledge of category management plans and strategic procurement disciplines, relevant legislative, statutory policies, and best practice industry conditions (BPIC) to deliver best value outcomes.Lead the development and negotiation of highly complex agreements and partnerships with suppliers. Skills | Experience | Qualifications Ideally possess tertiary qualification in Business, procurement, or related field.7 + years of procurement experience in major capital infrastructure delivery.Strong knowledge of government procurement practices and procedures.Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and effective communication.Excellent organisational skills.Proficient in negotiation and independent judgment for complex issues.Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies for capital projects.Demonstrated ability to oversee complex, multi-stage tendering processes.Enthusiastic, dedicated, with strong initiative and self-motivation.Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.Understanding of confidentiality and sensitivity issues.Ability to work autonomously and in dynamic team environments with limited supervision.
