We offer a unique work experience with supportive management and career opportunities.About the role:We are now seeking to employ an experienced Senior Processing Maintenance Planner at our Koolan Island Operation on an 8 Days On / 6 Day Off (12-hour day) roster from Perth, Broome or Derby. Reporting directly to the Processing & Maintenance Superintendent, the primary focus of this role is to coordinate processing maintenance planning functions in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner, enabling the processing department to meet the present and future needs of the operation. This role is also responsible for leading the maintenance planning activities with a continuous improvement philosophy while utilising the asset management principles and work management process.Key tasks and responsibilitiesEstablishing and maintaining the maintenance planning and scheduling WM flow processShutdown planning and scheduling.Creation of work orders, closing of work orders, monitor compliance to plan.Ensuring key performance indicators are captured, maintained, and reported as required, to departmental performance, planning and/or scheduling processes and compliance to plan and highlight non-compliance.Ensure work management process is strictly adhered to whilst continually working towards compliance to schedule.Establish criticality of work by analysis of work notifications.Coordinate with production to schedule and confirm maintenance work into production plan.Periodically reviewing and amending cost and time estimation of planned maintenance work as requiredResponsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and jobs records databaseRecord and track major tasks for discussion at maintenance meetingsCollaborating with peers to ensure that the BOM and master data list is always up to dateActively participating in continual improvements in planning, scheduling, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficienciesCollaborating with maintenance supervision to schedule labour and resources for planned maintenance work (Capacity Planning)Rationalisation of spare parts, stock holdings (Min/Max, ANSI), including gathering of information and advising Superintendent of critical spares.Interpret technical drawingsLiaise with purchasing departments to ensure on-time delivery of required parts.Cost reporting, Budget planning, forecasting, lifecycle costing of equipmentEnsure planning and activities comply with statutory and reporting requirements.Technical report writing post shutdown reviews and action planning.Produce a schedule from the planned forward log.Download maintenance tasks schedule into a Gantt chart via MS Project outlining activities for Mechanical, Electrical, OperationsPrint work orders and assist preparing complete job packagesHandover all job packages and plotted Gantt chart to Team SupervisorMaintain a list of incomplete jobs and action appropriately (e.g. reschedule, technically complete task if no longer required)Provide ongoing feedback to Administrators regarding completion of work to enable timely receipt of invoices and submission of accruals at month endAssist with Pronto system work as required.To be successful in this role, you'll need:Trade qualification in a relevant fieldWestern Australian 'C' manual driver's licence7 years experience in a similar role within CMMS systems5 years Shutdown planning and schedulingPronto experience is essentialFront Line Management qualification - DesirableAsset Management qualification – DesirableWork Management process implementation and user.Maintenance and Asset ManagementMS Office suitePrevious experience in a resource sectorPractical experience working on fixed plant equipment in a workshop or field environmentYour career with Mount Gibson Iron:At Mount Gibson Iron, our values - Safety – Courage – Agility – Integrity – Respect, are at the centre of everything we do and to guide us with the behaviours expected and attitudes of our employees.
