About the opportunity The Senior Process Engineering Manager position is a leader in Australia Post's Portfolio Delivery team, whose primary role is to hold end-to-end responsibility for process engineering within Australia Post's Parcel, Post & eCommerce Services business unit.
This position is accountable for leading the identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives and is aware of emerging automation technologies (RPA, RDA, Conversational AI, Low Code, Process & Task Mining, etc.). The role communicates with both business representatives (e.g., SMEs, process owners) and central process and technology teams (e.g., automation, solution architecture, etc.) to create future state business processes that leverage automation.
What you'll deliver with us Establish and run process engineering practices that ensure high-quality process analysis, process optimisation, process performance monitoring, project management, and execution of initiatives.Responsible for working with key enterprise stakeholders to educate and inform on the importance of automation and process engineering within the enterprise, effectively engaging with all levels of the enterprise.Accountable for implementing frameworks and methodologies to assess current state processes, workflows, and operational systems that identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation.Accountable for representing Parcel, Post, and eCommerce Services in process meetings, future state design, system business documentation meetings, and governance.Accountable for leading the execution of a process engineering strategy and developing thought leadership on emerging and innovative trends in process engineering.Accountable for supporting the development of process improvement frameworks and methodologies that are adopted by process analysts to evaluate current state processes.Responsible for supporting the assessment of current state business processes, workflows, and operational systems that identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement/automation.Responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements.Engage and support the business with the development of business cases for delivery of automation opportunities identified.Engage and influence stakeholders at various levels to obtain buy-in, support, and resources for process improvement initiatives.Maintain awareness of current and emerging automation technologies such as RPA, RDA, Conversational AI, Low Code/No Code, Generative AI.Identify new areas for commercial opportunity and work with internal/external stakeholders to translate this into value.About you You will have significant experience in a commercial process improvement role, six sigma training (green belt or black belt desired), and experience leading through significant process improvements within commercial teams that last.
