Project Overview: Bechtel Mining & Metals are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to work in our Perth office on our projects and studies, particularly in iron ore.
Job Summary: As a Senior Process Engineer, you will work as part of a team under the supervision of the Engineering Manager to deliver studies and projects for our mining customers.
Major Responsibilities: Develop and check the process deliverables typical of detailed engineering (such as design criteria, mass & energy balances, process flow diagrams, equipment sizing calculations, P&IDs, control philosophy). Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, vendors, consultants, subject matter experts and client teams to deliver the project successfully. Contribute to the review and optimizations of project design, cost, safety, constructability, and schedule. Other responsibilities as designated. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills: At least 5 years' experience as an engineer working in detailed design in the minerals industry. Well-developed skills in teamwork, communication, problem solving and client engagement. Direct experience in iron ore processing (both design and operations). Ability, interest and flexibility to occasionally work in other roles such as project engineering depending on workload. Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
