The ideal candidate will have a background in process plant design across base metals as well as demonstrated success in the delivery of studies and projects.Reporting to the Process Department Manager, you will be leading or working with a highly experienced team and will be exposed to a continuous succession of small to large domestic and possibly international projects as they progress through the project lifestyle from early concept development, detailed design, construction and commissioning to operations.Responsibilities of the role include:Support the process team on studies and projects and check key process deliverables related to your field of expertise (such as design criteria, mass & energy balances, process flow diagrams, equipment sizing calculations, etc).Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, vendors, consultants, and client teams to deliver projects successfully.Contribute to the review and optimizations of project design, cost, safety, constructability, and schedule.Interface with global equipment suppliers to stay up to date with technological developments.Key criteria:Tertiary qualification in mineral processing, chemical engineering or metallurgical engineering with 10 years' experience.RPEQ MembershipPrevious industry experience within mining and mineral processing, ideally within EPCMProven experience in design across base metals and/ or Gold - EssentialExperience with design and implementation of floatation and comminution processesComminution circuit modelling and simulations-
