The ideal candidate will have a background in process plant design across base metals as well as demonstrated success in the delivery of studies and projects.Reporting to the Process Department Manager, you will be leading or working with a highly experienced team and will be exposed to a continuous succession of small to large domestic and possibly international projects as they progress through the project lifestyle from early concept development, detailed design, construction and commissioning to operations.Responsibilities of the role include:Support the process team on studies and projects and check key process deliverables related to your field of expertise (such as design criteria, mass & energy balances, process flow diagrams, equipment sizing calculations, etc).Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, vendors, consultants, and client teams to deliver projects successfully.Contribute to the review and optimizations of project design, cost, safety, constructability, and schedule.Interface with global equipment suppliers to stay up to date with technological developments.Key criteria:Tertiary qualification in mineral processing, chemical engineering or metallurgical engineering with 10 years' experience.RPEQ MembershipPrevious industry experience within mining and mineral processing, ideally within EPCMProven experience in design across base metals and/ or Gold -EssentialExperience with design and implementation of floatation and comminution processesComminution circuit modelling and simulations- Essential Process design experience including process mass balances, process flow diagrams and process support services.Systems design experience including piping and instrument diagrams, cause and effect diagrams, hazard and operability design reviews and systems support services.Familiar with technical specifications and Australian and international codes and regulatory requirementsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of programsExperience using Metsim, SysCAD or similarExceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlinesHere at DRA, we offer:Competitive and above market salary packages with regular market analysisA fresh & modern office in the Brisbane CBD with access to great end of trip facilitiesFlexible start and finish times allowing for great work life balanceA collaborative and supportive team environment with the tools to succeedThe opportunity to work alongside engineering and design excellenceWe value diversity and the benefits it brings to achieving our objectives, enhancing our reputation, and attracting, engaging, and retaining talented people.
