Help us as we become a recognised partner for a sustainable future while enabling our clients and their customers achieve their energy transition objectives.With over 400 dedicated team members operating out of locations across Australia and New Zealand, Verbrec is an ASX listed company (ASX: VBC) providing industry leading engineering, operations and training services across the entire asset lifecycle, with a significant focus on growth into new and existing industries.We take pride in our focus on safety, while driving a strong people-focused culture to make transformations toward a sustainable and smart future.We are problem solversThis role would suit an experienced Process Engineer with a strong technical background in Chemical/Process Engineering in the energy industry.As a Senior Process Engineer, you will:Provide expertise and manage process design through engineering phases from concept/select, FEED through to detailed design and delivery.Proactively communicate with Project Managers and Team Members to ensure Projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and budget.Manage and track single-discipline projects.Write technical reports as required.Prepare proposals and tenders (hours estimation and scope definition) for new and ongoing works.Provide technical guidance to develop junior engineers.We are FlexibleEnjoy the freedom of flexible work hours, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will have:Process Engineering degree (or equivalent) with 12+ years process design experience in the Oil & Gas, and/or Future Fuels industries.CPEng or CEng/RPEQ registration.Proficient skills in using Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, Aspen Plus, and DNV PHAST software.Sound knowledge of process safety including risk identification and assessment through HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA, dispersion/radiation analysis, and hazardous area classification.Skills in preparing PFDs, Heat and material balances, P&IDs, Cause & Effect, Instruments and equipment data sheets, and Chemical consumption/effluent summaries.Ability and experience in providing technical support through the full lifecycle of the projects, ranging from feasibility and concept select studies through to FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.Ability to be hands-on, flexible and work autonomously on multiple projects.A confident communicator and team player with the ability to drive projects and clients' success.Skills in tackling conflicting deadlines and managing them by prioritization.HAZOP / LOPA Facilitator experience and accreditation desirable, but not mandatory.Familiarity with the relevant Australian and International Standards.A mix of consulting and operational experience would be an advantage.We are growingAt Verbrec, we empower change and create opportunities for you to develop a supercharged career pathway, whether it is technical or focused on the people.
