Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Process Engineer to join our client's dynamic team on a 12-month contract.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that are integral to the client's Upstream Development plan.
You will be part of a high-performing team that is well-respected within the organisation, with the possibility of contract extension based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities Lead the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed engineering efforts for process design associated with new wells and related infrastructure. Serve as the technical owner of process designs for the client's surface equipment, ensuring alignment with organisational standards and objectives. Provide Subject Matter Expert insights and RPEQ review for process documentation, calculations, and specifications. Oversee and manage external consultants engaged in engineering design activities to ensure quality and efficiency. Drive the development and integration of value-saving initiatives to maintain cost competitiveness. Ensure that all process designs comply with Process Safety and Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements. Collaborate with various stakeholders involved in the well delivery chain, including Asset Engineering, Operations, and Asset Services field personnel. Maintain and update the client's Technical Standards for Asset Services, emphasising safety in design principles and supporting ongoing value initiatives. Assist with other engineering-related activities, such as Management of Change, Risk Assessments, and Process Hazard Analyses incorporating lessons learned into new designs and modifications. Mentor and support early-career engineers, fostering their development in process engineering. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline. Extensive experience in process engineering, preferably within the oil and gas industry. RPEQ accreditation. Strong understanding of FEED and detailed design processes. Proven ability to manage and oversee engineering design consultants. Demonstrated experience in driving cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior engineers.
