ResponsibilitiesProvide advice to staff and management in relation to compliance with the IP Act.Investigate and manage information privacy complaints and breaches received by QCS.Manage mediations with the Office of the Information Commissioner and effectively implement their recommendations.Prepare and manage appeals to the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal in consultation with QCS Lawyers and, when appropriate, brief Legal Counsel.Deliver and assist with the development of information privacy training.Audit QCS's compliance with the requirements of the IP Act.Assist with the development, analysis and provision of advice on standards, guidelines, policies, procedures, submissions, contracts, reports and proposals relevant to information privacy management within QCS.Prepare written material to the Commissioner, Senior QCS leadership.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in interpreting and applying the IP Act.Maintain confidentiality with high integrity at all times.Manages tasks to completion, with proven ability to prioritise work and deliver to tight and/or evolving timeframes.High attention to detail, quality, and accuracy to ensure reports, correspondence, database entries, and emails contain correct information and details.Proven high calibre administration skills: diary management, database interrogation, time management, document control and file management (electronic and paper), compiling briefs, drafting correspondence from instruction, and similar.Strong interpersonal and communication skills: written, verbal, presentation and active listening.Confident to build and nurture relationships at all levels of the organisation and with external service providers.Experience in supporting the research of precedents (internal) and complex or sensitive legal matters.Demonstrated ability to identify issues and problems, and judgement to seek further advice or work with parties to resolve issues without inhibiting the service delivery of the team.Ability to have a continuous improvement focus that will practically review and enhance systems or processes.Be an active, collaborative, and energetic team player who is able to provide process, administration and/or business system support and advice.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
