About the role The role of the Senior Privacy and Records Release Project Officer is pivotal in enhancing and managing our organisation's capability to understand and comply with Commonwealth and State/Territory privacy obligations.
In this position, you will manage the process of preparing and releasing records in response to selected requests related to service users of MacKillop. You will also handle applications received via the National Redress Scheme, providing crucial support, advice, and monitoring of privacy breach responses.
Based in South Melbourne, this role offers the opportunity to build relationships with services across Victoria, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, the Northern Territory, and Western Australia. Some local and interstate travel to these areas may be required.
This is a Permanent Part-Time opportunity based in South Melbourne, VIC within our Policy and Research unit. The position reports to the Director of Policy and Research. Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant fieldDemonstrated experience in understanding and engaging with privacy and information sharing legislation and regulations across the jurisdictions where MacKillop operatesAn understanding of contemporary service user records and experience of the preparation for release of records.Strong organisational skills, time management, problem solving and ability to work individually or as part of a teamExperience facilitating training and workshopsPlease address the full Key Selection Criteria outlined in the PD as part of your application.
