Senior Privacy And Information Lawyer - Baseline Clearance

The Role We currently have a secondment opportunity available for an experienced Senior Privacy and Information Lawyer within a high profile Commonwealth Agency.
Ideal candidates will have skills and experience in advising on the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and secrecy provisions.
? The Responsibilities The successful candidate will be required to work as a secondee within the Department's in-house legal team.
High level stakeholder engagement skills are required as the successful candidate will be required to provide advice and assistance to a wide range of client areas, including briefing senior executives.
The secondee will be required to advise on: secrecy provisions; privacy assurance processes such as Privacy Threshold Assessments (PTAs) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs); privacy law legal advice; information and data exchanges, data sharing and governance (including third party data access arrangements and data matching); and general advice on privacy and information law.
? The Requirements A current practising certificate and extensive Commonwealth government experience providing legal advice under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) is essential.
Applicants must be Australian citizens and have a current Baseline Security Clearance.
