We are recruiting an experienced Senior / Principal Piping Designer to join a Global Oil & Gas EPC in Darwin, NT in a permanent or contract capacity.
Reporting directly to the Piping Design Manager and working as part of our client's core design team, you will act as the focal point Piping Designer on brownfields oil & gas projects while taking responsibility for the design.
This role will be located at the client's newly opened Darwin CBD office. In addition, you will have access to remote and flexible working options, purchased annual leave, and employee discount programs.
Responsibilities: Prior senior designer level working experience in the Offshore LNG, Oil & Gas sectors within an EPCM engineering and maintenance project environment with both onshore and offshore scope of work engagements, with particular emphasis on Brownfields modifications. What we are looking for: Demonstrated experience to drive design teams to deliver quality design deliverables. Demonstrated capability of performing the full range of discipline design and analysis. Demonstrated ability to work independently with good initiative and interpersonal skills. Technical associate's degree or equivalent in education and/or experience. Demonstrated ability to check piping deliverables. Self-starter with the ability to guide/train junior level designers. Qualifications: Tertiary qualified in Engineering/Drafting. Minimum of 10 years piping design experience in the oil and gas industry. Minimum 5 years in Principal Design role managing project scopes and resources. Understanding of discipline technology and other discipline requirements. Ability to problem solve effectively. Attention to detail. Competency in E3D CAD systems.
