Job Description Our highly regarded environmental team in Darwin is looking for Senior / Principal level Environmental Scientists / Engineers to play a key role in supporting a vast array of interesting and diverse projects across defence, government, mining and the oil and gas sectors.
The AECOM Darwin office is a perfect location to foster your passion for managing the environment and can provide experience in everything from environmental impact assessment and environmental management and auditing, hydrology and hydrogeology, sediment, and erosion control, monitoring of rivers and streams, wastewaters and groundwaters, biodiversity surveys, contaminated site investigation and remediation.
What will a day in this role look like: Prepare and manage timely and high-quality environmental impact assessments, constraints analyses, strategic assessments, and environmental management plans and assist in the organisation of resources, budgets, and timelines for the management of these projects Key project-related tasks as required, which may include studies and assessments, data analysis, technical writing, and presentations Working collaboratively, you will prepare advice, reports, and proposals to clients, and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered successfully Mentor junior members of the team. Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline Environmental advisory and impact assessment experience and detailed understanding of relevant legislation and approval frameworks Strong commercial acumen and emotional intelligence to develop and maintain positive relationships to enhance client retention and growth You will be a strong team player, influencer, and, most importantly, a real collaborator Confidence in translating technical information into accessible language in your written work and other communications.
