Job Description Your key responsibilities will include: Providing technical expertise associated with high voltage switchgear and instrument transformers, covering all voltage levels up to 550kVProviding expert input into asset management strategies and philosophiesProviding expert input into performance and technical specificationsProviding expert input into the development of equipment standardsContributing towards maintenance policy/practicesInitiating projects (developing concepts, preparing business cases, and project handover documentation)Supporting regulatory submission replacement plansSupporting the implementation of asset management and asset replacement initiativesSupporting Network Operations to achieve annual capital and operational works plansAssessing and reviewing the condition of power and instrument transformersReviewing/auditing asset-related databasesInvestigating and analyzing equipment failures or problems, drafting reports, etc.Making technical decisions in relation to HV switchgear and instrument transformersApproving relevant technical documentationParticipating in regulatory and internal audits as requiredProviding support for emergency response events, as requiredMeasures of Success Wholly accountable:100% delivery of capex and opex works programs approvals for HV switchgear and instrument transformers from year to yearAll HV switchgear and instrument transformer documentation kept current from year to yearIncident and failure investigations completed within required timeframes and qualityAudit and investigation actions completed within required timeframesTechnical and operational support provided within required timeframesShared Metrics:Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (RIFR) targetsMission Zero conversation targetsCustomer service and SLA targetsAdherence to corporate valuesCollective Asset Management outcomesThe Successful Applicant Degree qualified in Engineering5+ years of engineering/asset management experienceDemonstrated commitment to safety outcomesUnderstanding of Asset Management leading practices, frameworks, and relevant standardsUnderstanding of relevant Regulatory frameworks and legislationUnderstanding of relevant Australian and International standards and industry codes of practiceAbility to lead and coordinate failure and incident investigationsAbility to connect with organizational strategy and identify what is required at a tactical level to achieve itDemonstrated expertise in developing and implementing strategic asset management plans, preferably in a regulated environmentIn-depth knowledge of HV assets, with a focus on HV switchgear and instrument transformers, and emerging trends and innovationsKnowledge of relevant condition monitoring and assessment techniques for HV switchgear and instrument transformersStrong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimize asset performanceExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholdersAn advanced level of reasoning skills and engineering judgementWhat's on Offer Career Development
