About the role: 12 Month Fixed- Term Contract | Melbourne Based The Senior Pricing Analyst (Consumer Growth) is part of the Customer Pricing team within the Product & Commercial unit, reporting to the Head of Product & Pricing. This team provides data and expertise to help Customer Markets deliver competitive products in Australia, focusing on optimizing gross margin while balancing acquisition and retention goals.
The analyst is responsible for acquisition pricing and marketing analysis, supporting pricing decisions for various campaigns. They work closely with the Consumer Growth value stream and maintain connections with the Customer Pricing community, ensuring alignment with business objectives and adherence to product management best practices.
What you'll be doing: Collaborate with Proposition Managers and the Sponsorship and Partnership team to drive commercial analysis and shape innovative business models.Actively monitor and analyse competitor pricing strategies to keep AGL at the forefront of market competitiveness.Partner with product operations to draft and quality assure pricing files, ensuring a smooth and effective go-to-market process for new products.Take the lead in planning and implementing annual price changes, directly influencing AGL's market positioning and profitability.Facilitate clear communication and understanding of pricing strategies within the business, empowering informed decision-making and strategic direction.Ensure all pricing materials comply with legal and regulatory standards, safeguarding AGL's reputation and operational integrity.About you: Previous demonstrated experience in Pricing, Finance, Product Management or similar role.Highly analytical and commercial thinker with the ability to identify trends.Proven skills in data extraction, financial analysis and business planning.Skilled in data presentation – ability to translate complex data to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to manage conflicting priorities.Self-motivated and able to work under pressure with support.At AGL, we offer a wide range of benefits including: Flexible working options including hybrid work.Discounts on energy, telcos and solar plans.Participate in Energise - our reward & recognition program.Play an active role in our diversity & inclusion initiatives.*Benefits may change over time and vary based on role type and location.
