We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Power Mechanical Enginer, to join us in our Engineering and Planning team in Brisbane or Mount Isa on a Permanent Full Time Basis. Reporting to the Power Operations Engineering Manager – East, you will play a key role in providing technical Power focussed Mechanical & Rotating Engineering specialist services. Key Responsibilities Provide senior level Mechanical and Rotating Engineering support, including RPEQ services Act as the first point of contact for mechanical and rotating issues escalation for Power assets in Eastern Australia, ensuring strategic and tactical requirements are considered in works prioritisation Provide technical and strategic support for maintenance and inspection of rotating equipment including gas turbines, steam turbines and reciprocating engines as well as static mechanical equipment Administer and drive reliability process outcomes, including incident investigations / root cause analysis and bad actor programs that continuously improve equipment and system reliability Your background Tertiary qualification in Engineering admitting to corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia or equivalent experience Extensive engineering experience in the operation and maintenance, or design/construction of rotating and mechanical equipment in the Power industry (or equivalent) Experience in Power generation steam systems, turbines and boilers Operation and maintenance of power plants with experience in the development and management of asset plans Experience in vibration analysis in industrial applications Ability to perform Incident investigation, reporting, recommendations, and actions stewardship About the Team At APA, our Power Systems Engineering Team is responsible for ensuring reliable and efficient operations of our assets.
