Position: Power/ Senior Power Engineer Location: Milton
Employment Type: Permanent (Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 38 hours/week)
Pay: $130K - 160K+super
Maxima is currently seeking a highly motivated Power/ Senior Power Engineer for one of our clients, a leading provider of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services in the oil, gas and mining sectors.
Role Overview: As a Power Engineer, you will take a leading role in electrical design, engineering and power distribution projects. You will guide a team of electrical engineers, manage project deliverables and independently perform HV and LV design. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and direct involvement in key project stages will be central to your role.
Responsibilities include: Electrical engineering design and review of deliverables. Project planning and development of scopes of work. Vendor, subcontractor, and client coordination and management. Providing technical guidance and developing proposals. Acting as the focal point for client Electrical Service Agreements and Contracts. Supporting installation and commissioning activities. Leading and mentoring a junior team. Requirements: To be considered for this role, you will need:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. RPEQ (Electrical) certification. 5 years of experience in electrical engineering. Expertise in HV protection and Earthing design. Proficiency in SKM Power*Tools for Windows (PTW). Strong project management and scheduling skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Australian working rights. Desired Skills: TUV Certification. Experience with Hazardous Areas Classification. Proficiency in PowerCAD / ETAP. AutoCAD experience. Expertise in Arc Flash & Fault Studies. Experience leading Risk Assessment workshops. Knowledge of Instrumentation and Controls (preferred).
