The Commercial division is Allianz Australia's largest distribution channel encompassing products distributed via a broker intermediary and our Underwriting Agencies.
We are currently looking for a Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Agencies team to develop strategic partnerships with a portfolio of underwriting agencies and ensure alignment to Allianz priorities, policies, expectations, risk management and accountability frameworks.
You'll be responsible for
Developing strong partnerships to manage and monitor a portfolio underwriting agencies through effective stakeholder engagement and ensuring effective delivery of the supervision and monitoring framework.
Partnering with the agencies on the implementation of frameworks, processes and capabilities as required for new legislation and/or as required by Allianz Australia
Ensuring all financial and non-financial risks are mitigated in line with overall program of work for the underwriting agencies in your portfolio
Providing comprehensive oversight and assurance across agencies by ensuring compliance with Allianz Framework requirements, facilitating reviews, control testing & education programs, reviewing self-assessments, and delivering timely performance reporting.
Identifying insights & opportunities and communicating progress on the agency performance against key strategic initiatives through effective written reports and verbal presentations.
About you
Recent senior management role demonstrating the ability to foster collaboration, navigate ambiguity, and align business objectives with organisational strategy.
Proven track record in implementing processes, company frameworks, industry practices, and governing legislation.
Experience in leading and supervising a portfolio of autonomous businesses within a complex matrix organization.
Skilled in analysing business insights to identify opportunities for operational enhancements, growth, and cost savings.
Effective in managing change and promoting organizational transformation through clear communication and collaboration while empowering team performance.
Experience in claims, underwriting, distribution, or operations will be highly regarded. Understanding of general insurance business will be highly regarded.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence.
