Senior Policy Officer, Industry Participation Fixed term for 24 monthsUsual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 (flexibility may be available)The Role Reporting to the Manager, Industry Participation and working as part of a small and dynamic team, the Senior Policy Officer, Local Jobs First is responsible for leading a diverse range of projects to support the delivery of Local Jobs First. The role supports the day-to-day operation of the Local Jobs First Policy (which comprises the Victorian Industry Participation Policy and Major Projects Skills Guarantee) and provides high level policy advice to senior management, the Executive, the Minister and a range of industry stakeholders and advice to government departments and agencies on Local Jobs First to ensure public procurement activities comply with the Policy.

Contributing to the delivery of the Local Jobs First PolicyLeading policy co-ordination, development and implementation in relation to the Local Jobs First Act 2003Leading initiatives related to the application of Local Jobs First across government departments.The Team The position of Senior Policy Officer, Industry Participation forms a part of the Industry Development and Manufacturing Sovereignty (IDMS) branch within the Industry, Trade and Investment (ITI) group.
The Industry, Trade and Investment (ITI) Group works closely with businesses locally and globally to grow Victorian jobs, drive innovation and increase Victoria's international competitiveness. ITI champions Victoria as a destination of choice for trade and international investment, international education and innovation. ITI harnesses specialist knowledge of key industries and global markets to develop Victoria's priority sectors, boost trade activities, enhance productivity and contribute to economic growth.
About You As the successful candidate, you will have:
