The Senior Policy Officer will provide high-level research, policy development and advice to the Tiwi Land Council. The role will be expected to engage with Tiwi people to understand their priorities and perspectives and represent the Tiwi Land Council in policy forums, acting as a liaison point for external agencies, particularly within the Northern Territory and Australian governments.Organisational OverviewThe Tiwi Land Council was established on 18 August 1978, following representation by the Tiwi people to the Federal Government for recognition of our distinct geographic and cultural identity.The Tiwi Land Council represents all Tiwi people in the protection of our land, sea, and environment, while at the same time supporting sustainable economic development to improve Tiwi lives through employment, income, education and health opportunities.
