#Acareerthatmatters #AcontributionthatcountsAre you interested in work that strives to strike a balance between the conservation of wildlife (plants and animals) and managing human-wildlife conflict?As a Senior Policy Officer with the Strategic Wildlife Operations team, you will play a key role in a range of projects and programs that support the interpretation and implementation of the Nature Conservation Act 1992 outside protected areas such as national parks.Bring your expertise to the forefront and apply now.As Senior Policy Officer You WillContribute, as part of a team, to the delivery of projects, and lead the delivery of discreet project components, for the conservation of nature outside of protected areas.Contribute to the development, evaluation, and implementation of policy and other regulatory solutions for the conservation of nature in a way that draws on the various expertise within the department.Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, seeking their views and providing advice and expertise in conservation policy.Develop internal and external communication documents, including briefing material, stakeholder correspondence, presentations, policies, guidelines, web text, and information sheets.About YouYou will possess, or be able to demonstrate your ability to quickly acquire, knowledge of contemporary approaches to the conservation of nature in an international, national, and Queensland Government context.You will contribute to workplace equity and diversity, enriching our culture of safety, innovation, respect, and inclusion.You will have demonstrated abilities in:The analysis, development, implementation, evaluation, and reporting of complex policy and supporting materials.Managing complex research and analysis, drawing accurate conclusions based on evidence.Clearly communicating complex ideas to a diverse audience, including the preparation of reports, briefing notes, presentations, and external correspondence.Meeting deadlines, establishing priorities, and working as an effective team member.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Occupational group: Primary Industry & Environment
