You will be part of a positive, outcomes-focused team. You will contribute to delivering policy functions including supporting the Surveyors Board of Queensland appointments and ad-hoc requests. You will contribute to ongoing business and systems improvement, and you will support the development of surveying policy, standards, and legislation.

About the role:
In this role you will:
Interpret and provide complex policy advice to a variety of internal stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver appropriate land resources legislation and policies.Undertake specialised research and analysis to prepare policy documents, reports, briefings and Cabinet Submissions.Maintain an awareness of issues, challenges and opportunities in land resources and provide input across the department (and other relevant agencies) on associated policy and legislation.Represent the department at meetings, committees and interdepartmental working groups, as required.Assess and develop recommendations for future training and development and lead the preparation and implementation of relevant training and development plans.Initiate, build and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders across Government.Other duties as directed and required.What we're looking for: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.A tertiary qualification in Surveying, Spatial Information, Law, Public Sector Administration or a related discipline will be highly regarded.Why join us?
