Senior Policy Officer

Identify, research, and analyse policy issues and work with operational teams to develop procedures and evidence-based solutions.
Provide policy advice and draft submissions, briefs, ministerial and departmental correspondence, policy documents and Parliamentary Questions on Notice.
Cultivate and support interagency stakeholder relationships, liaison, and consultation with stakeholders, to inform policy development and provide timely information about CIP programs.
Undertake relevant project management activities by developing project plans, supporting documentation, records, and registers.
Review and analyse reports and data, and report against strategic outcomes, business benefits and success measures.
Investigate trends in crime, court services, specialist courts and programs and identify opportunities to improve processes, and outcomes including by addressing underlying issues relating to offending.
Undertake other work as directed including administrative duties as required by the Managers or Director within the Courts Innovation Program.
Contribute to, cultivate, and support cultural capability within the operations of programs established under the Courts Innovation Program to assist vulnerable people coming into contact with the justice system.
