Senior Policy Officer

APS Level 6 $94,736 to $106,876 ACT, QLD The Strengthening Providers Branch is seeking dynamic candidates to assist in the design and implementation of effective aged care regulatory policy to improve the quality, safety and integrity of the aged care system.
Our work contributes to keeping people accessing services safe with a focus on: The role, operations and resourcing of the aged care regulator and its oversight body, the Aged Care Quality and Safety Advisory Council Quality and safety policy, systems and laws such as: worker screening; Serious Incident Response Scheme; safeguards for specialist care intervention; and support for the National Plan to End the Abuse and Mistreatment of Older People.
Improving provider governance.
Working in a multi-disciplinary team with skills from policy, programs, legal, and clinical fields, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced officers developing solutions to real-world problems in an aged care service system.
Current vacancies exist in all three sections and are based in either Canberra or Brisbane.
A Merit list will be created to fill these roles and will be considered for future roles in the Quality and Assurance Division.
