Senior Policy and Risk Officer Salary: $109,730 - $132,764 (Plus Superannuation)
Ongoing role Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available within Victoria)
The Role
The Senior Policy and Risk Officer is responsible for leading the development, implementation and support of the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions financial assurance activities.
The position is also responsible for the online content that is generated by the Finance Services.
This role provides financial compliance advice and implements strategies to continuously improve the DJSIR's internal control mechanisms.
Key accountabilities include: Manage and deliver a range of activities associated with the department's compliance requirements.Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.Prepare high quality briefings for management, Budget and Finance Committee.Contribute to and support the preparation of annual financial statements and annual report.Contribute to increasing the effectiveness, efficiency, and financial management capability.About You Have the ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.Ability to prepare for complex briefs, letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.Be proactive and self-starting.Have the ability to deal with concepts and complexity comfortably and use analytical and conceptual skills to provide solutions to problems.Have strong experience in control, compliance and governance through implemented policy, procedures and services.Further Information
