About the Role The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Senior Policy and Project Officer to provide a critical role within Corrections and Justice Services.
Sitting within the System Integration team in the PSSO unit, the Senior Policy and Project Officer will develop policy advice and manage projects to support effective integration within the Corrections system and between the Corrections portfolio and other government portfolios.
Key Responsibilities: Providing high quality policy and reform advice to departmental executives and Ministers, focusing on employment, education, housing and disability policy.Supporting priority projects aimed at improving service and system integration within the Corrections system.Supporting the Manager to deliver high quality written materials including reports, briefings, papers and presentations.About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
A proven track record of providing high-quality policy advice relevant to the corrections, housing, employment, or disability sectors.Knowledge of current policy direction, research and issues within corrections and the criminal justice system.Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex operational, policy and legal issues.A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is strongly preferred.How to Apply Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
