This includes providing high level policy advice, research and analysis in relation to the development and implementation of associated activities.In the context of the selection criteria, the successful applicant will have strong project and program management skills and generalist capabilities to engage in a variety of policy and program management related tasks. The ability to drive outcomes and communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders will be important for success in the role. Duties Utilise project management tools to support the delivery of activity and to meet reporting commitments under the National Skills Agreement. Draft and quality assure written documents including ministerial correspondence, reports, briefing notes, project plans and other communications material. Assist with developing and delivering strategic and operational initiatives associated with Tasmania's commitments under the National Skills Agreement. Provide policy advice on issues related to training and workforce development, particularly Tasmania's interests in national policy discussions, and contribute to sound and fit-for-purpose solutions, proposals or recommendations. Liaise with VET stakeholders including the Australian Government, training providers, industry associations, employers and learners on policies, programs and projects. Actively contribute to a positive workplace culture across Skills Tasmania. Provide day-to-day guidance and support to policy and project staff in the National Policy team.
