THE ROLE Reporting to the Manager, Prevention Practice and Workforce, the Senior Policy and Program Officer will develop primary prevention programs and policy focused on key settings and life stages.
The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires the capacity to exercise sound judgment and the ability to proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Provide authoritative advice, reasoned recommendations, and innovative solutions to complex and sensitive issues based on comprehensive research.Develop policy and program initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters.Undertake data analysis and modeling to support strategic reform, budget strategy, and social investment directions.COVID-19 VACCINATION The department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice, given their individual circumstances. As of June 2023, DFFH does not require evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status.
