As the Senior Policy Analyst, you will contribute to or lead the development, delivery, monitoring and review of projects, policies and advice to advance the NHVR's legislative and strategic objectives, particularly in relation to safety and productivity.Some key initiatives the team has delivered or will be involved with includes:A refresh of the Heavy Vehicle Productivity Plan 2020-2025The Freight PASS tool and Pavement Impact Comparison Calculator to estimate the long-term effects of freight activity on roads and societyData and economic analysis to progress safety, productivity and sustainability reformDecarbonisation of the freight fleetA number of projects are on the go at any one point in time, and requires high level problem-solving skills, creativity, perseverance, as well as solid planning, time management and prioritisation skills.This is a temporary full-time position that offers exposure to high profile projects and networking opportunities with industry and government stakeholders nationally from officer through to CEO level. Intra and interstate travel may be required from time to time.Working with a family-friendly team, we offer a supportive hybrid work environment with flexible work from home arrangements.
