Duties Provide high level research and analysis of complex issues affecting the operations of the Tasmanian vocational education and training system and their interaction with Skills Tasmania funding arrangements to provide solutions, proposals and recommendations, both individually and as part of a team. Develop high level policy, strategies and advice that supports Skills Tasmania's strategic direction and the Government's vocational education and training priorities and contribute to the implementation of recommendations in collaboration with external stakeholders as required. Liaise and negotiate with stakeholders, including internal staff and other agencies, to ensure that Skills Tasmania's broad interests are appropriately represented to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Prepare high-level correspondence, reports, and briefing material on key issues impacting on existing and future policy matters. Actively contribute to a positive workplace culture across the Skills and Workforce branch. An understanding of the national and/or Tasmanian vocational education and training system, and the Tasmanian workforce development landscape.
