ABOUT THE ROLE
We are responsible for shaping the future of reporting and assurance standards in Australia and New Zealand . D edicated to fostering integrity, transparency, and economic progress , w e champion the role of accountants in addressing critical societal issues, including climate change and economic recovery.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Driving change and increasing influence in regulatory environments relevant to reporting and assurance, benefiting the public good. Communicating reform agendas and activities effectively to members through various channels. Continually exploring and addressing new and emerging policy matters related to reporting and assurance. Drafting policy papers, submissions and releases that provide detailed and timely advice on policy issues. Reviewing relevant standards and legislation, developing policy positions, drafting submissions, and delivering presentations. Researching policy and technical issues, through engagement with members, and other experts. ABOUT YOU
You'll be influential with strong communication skills to drive initiatives forward. Your proficiency in technical writing ensures that even the most intricate concepts are conveyed with clarity and precision. Furthermore, you excel in stakeholder engagement, adept at fostering collaboration and managing relationships to facilitate seamless teamwork and project success . You'll also bring :
5+ years' experience in accounting, policy, or related fields Effective communication of complex issues Proficien cy in professional writing, including plain language A collegiate approach to working with and listening to, members, colleagues, and a passion for working with people in a team-based environment. Knowledge about reporting and assurance issues and CA roles Understanding of policy objectives and legislative processes CA qualification or equivalent ABOUT US
