This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading Government client seeks Senior Policy Advisor to support & provide advice to Senior Executives on a range of policy projects, programs & activities Senior Policy Advisor opportunity Approx.
$70-$80 per hour plus Super dependent on experience Assignment duration is up to 3 months.
Immediate Start Melbourne CBD location/Working from Home Arrangement About the role Government department seeks an experienced Senior Policy Advisor to join them on short-term assignment for a duration of up to a period of 3 months based in Melbourne CBD with an immediate start.
As the Senior Policy Advisor, you will work collaboratively across the division to develop, lead and implement new and existing policies and projects.
You will be involved in leading strategic policy projects, research, stakeholder engagement activities, and the development of strategic products to support senior decision-making.
Key Responsibilities Your key tasks and responsibilities will include: leading strategic policy and data work to develop a workforce data strategy, including stakeholder engagement and managing the procurement of professional services to undertake workforce demand modelling work.
policy development, including working with State and Commonwealth agencies to influence workforce strategies and the development of strategic products to inform policy decisions development of strategic policy papers and products to support senior decision-making.
policy research as well as qualitative and quantitative data analysis and reporting of trends, issues, and emerging risks.
engagement with policy and program delivery areas across the department and other agencies.
Key Selection Criteria The skills and experience you will need to demonstrate include: Prior experience in formulating policy options and advice.
Demonstrable understanding of how state government policies and projects are delivered is highly preferable.
Significant experience in developing project briefs consistent with business plan direction.
Proven ability to manage and lead complex policy and/or legislative reform projects.
Ability to develop briefs on highly complex policy issues that provide options for discussion and consideration and contribute to the development of a set of final options for decision.
Ability to work collaboratively, build relationships and communicate with influence.
