Austrade are looking to fill multiple current and expected vacancies across the Government and Policy Division. This includes roles focused on: enhancing Australia's economic security, including investment and industry policy; enabling economic opportunities for our First Nations communities; bilateral, regional and multilateral international engagement on trade and investment; and enabling the global net-zero transformation. A merit list will be produced.
We are seeking engaged, innovative and enthusiastic team players with demonstrated experience building and maintaining good relationships across teams and agencies. You must be keen to work in a fast-paced, diverse, and cross-cultural workplace and network and able to produce tangible and practical outcomes. Our ideal candidates will have experience in whole-of-government collaboration and decision-making to deliver outcomes, and demonstrated interest in international relations and/or trade or investment.
The key duties of the position include:Work across Austrade, including the global network, to provide high quality policy advice and guidance, and share commercial insights from Austrade's network across government.Lead, coordinate and develop high-quality Austrade input into whole-of-government policy development.Deliver high-quality briefing, analysis and advice to Ministers and Austrade's Senior Executive.Support the delivery of trade or investment programs, including through support for ministerial travel, in-bound high-profile visits, and business missions.Represent Austrade in whole-of-government policy or international engagement discussions with internal and external stakeholders, including business chambers and other government agencies.Supervise, guide and mentor staff in their work and support them to achieve outcomes and drive a diverse and inclusive workplace.Australian citizenship – our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.Security clearance – our successful candidate is required to hold, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.RecruitAbility applies to this vacancy.
