An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and dynamic individual to join the Economic Strategy Branch as a Senior Policy Adviser at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
The Economic Strategy Branch plays a critical role in driving the government's economic reform agenda.
It contributes to the development of innovative and impactful economic policies that create a more prosperous and inclusive Victoria.
The Senior Policy Adviser position will play a critical role in preparing high-quality policy advice across a range of economic issues and driving delivery of priority government reform programs.
To be considered for this role, you will have leadership skills, strong conceptual and analytical skills, and a proven ability to provide authoritative policy advice in a time-pressured environment.
The position requires the flexibility to respond to rapid changes in priorities, attention to detail, curiosity, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
As our ideal candidate you will have:
Demonstrated experience providing authoritative, high quality and timely economic policy advice in a dynamic and complex environment. Strong leadership skills including the ability to identify emerging risks and issues and develop courses of action to manage risks and achieve strategic objectives. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to influence decisions through the preparation of evidence-informed recommendations. Sound analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with sound judgment applied to deliver positive, innovative solutions to complex policy issues. Strong interpersonal, representational and communication skills, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated commitment to a positive team culture, ability to support others to achieve common goals, self-starting and proactive. The closing date is Wednesday, 29 January 2025.
